Dear friends,
 
Aurora, 52 years old, and her family moved to Juarez from Veracruz because there were very few jobs there. They have now lived in Kilometer 30 for six years. Her husband died last year from prostate cancer. Four of her children live in the pallet house shown in the photo.  Aurora’s youngest child, Benjamin, 20 years old, has had a lot of problems with seizures, but has been holding a job at a wiring harness factory and can now afford his required medicine and is doing much better. Many neighbors have helped them with building supplies for their pallet house.
