Houses Dedicated
Guadalupe

Dear Friends,

Guadalupe was a tender 18 years old when her first husband took her. He was what is known as a “wolf” in Mexico, (men who seek out young women to have their children with no thought of love). He beat her often until he found another young woman and left. Guadalupe thought she would always be alone after that horrible experience. Guadalupe has helped her dad in a tire repair shop until just the last few months, changing tires by hand without compressed air.  The shop is across the street from the mission center. About four years ago she fell in love with an older man and is very happy now. She graduated secondary school and attended college to become a kindergarten teacher. She teaches kindergarten four hours in the morning at $1.25 per hour, then repairs flats with her son Jose in the tire shop in the afternoons. Her teacher’s clothes hang next to the tire shop, as there is often no time to go home to change before the next tire job.

Blessings,
