Dear friends,
Mariela is doing fine and has no infection or fever from the surgery. She has started pulling herself up by the couch and bed in her house, but is not yet willing to try to take any steps with the cast on her little foot. The cast is scheduled to be removed on November 30, at 10:00 a.m. We will take her for that appointment. Please pray that God heals her tendon perfectly so she can be walking on or before Christmas.
Rafael and Maria received their new home, constructed by the Cherry Hills Discover the World team.
Jose and Nancy received their new home constructed by the InsureMe team. The team also sealed and painted the interior of their new home a soft blue, as well as helped furnish it.
Pastor Martin's congregation has grown in just a few weeks since his new church was built. His budget to feed the children lunch was quickly exhausted, and the team from Cherry Hills answered his prayers for feeding the children of his church. The team from Cherry Hills then went to the women's shelter and fed the women and children there.
With the climate changing and colder days and nights, large groups of sick are coming daily for urgent medical care, even when the teams are there, at lunch time and before dinner.
Louisa brought her 8 year old son to us. He fell and broke his arm about three months ago. She didn't have the money to take her son to the doctor. His arm is a mess. We will take him with Mariela on the 30th for Dr Gonzales to evaluate.
Bill Orange, fellow resident missionary is proceeding with his weddings plans! His announcements are in the mail, the rings are picked up, and the bridal shower is complete. Bill and Alexjandra will be married at Pastor Jesus's church, and Bill will be moving out to live in the city with his new family. The wedding will be Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Blessings from Juarez,
jeff and jenny
