Juarez Updates
November 12-18, 2006 Last Few Weeks in Juarez

Dear friends,

A computer lab building was built for a secondary school in our Colonia and we are optimistic the government will ship the computers and satellite system.

Victor, Jessica and their family received their new home.

Hector, Maria and their daughter Vanessa received their new home, with the interior painted white, by their prior choice.

A high end hair stylist came from Durango and gave razor and hair cuts to many people.

Our most upscale meal for children and families was furnished by the West Bowels team, including:  Americano chicken fajitas with Carlos’s Pico De Gallo, oranges and carrots.

A huge shipment of 680 cans of baby formula was received, mainly under the direction of Charlene from West Bowles.

VBS was available to the local children three out of the five days last week.

We brought over 40 flu shots Wednesday, and Jenny has been administering them.  This is our first series and we would love to have many in the future.

Monday, the 20th of November was Revolution Day in Mexico. The children in the primary schools dressed up and marched around the Colonias last Friday. Jenny was taking photos as many of the children we know chanted “Viva Mexico” and “Viva Poncho Villa.”  Some “Viva Jenny’s” were even heard!

Have a blessed Thanksgiving,

jeff and jenny
