Pastor Luis is Missions Ministries' newest pastor. He completed his pastor training in Chappas, Mexico, where he worked part time in the landfill and Silva washed clothes to help pay for his education. He started as a missionary to the mountains, but felt the Lord was leading him to a local church. The family moved to Juarez about three years ago and began renting a church downtown in Juarez. About two years ago, they moved to Kilometer 34 and bought a large piece of land. Pastor Luis believes the Lord wants him to be a full time pastor, and his little flock numbers about 25 in regular attendees. Silva has a very small store next to the church.  They currently live in the Sunday school building next to the church, so their new home will be blessing to the ministry, as well as to their family.
