Dear friends,

Rodriego and Milana have been buying their little piece of land for over four years.  It measures about 40'x40'. They bought the bus in the background for about 2000 pesos ($200) just after they started paying for their land. Buses generally are very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. Milana came out of the bus for the interview and was very warm. Rodriego is a mechanic, but work is not steady and he tires to get a little ahead when he can. He has been building a bathroom for his family for over two years, and it will nicer than most someday. Rodriego plans to cut up the bus and sell it by the kilo, as it is in very poor condition. Rodriego has built a nice wall around their property, and tries to make life a little better for his family. They have had a petition for a home for the four years, but it was on hold until they paid off the land.
