Dear friends,

Sylvester and Sandra moved to Juarez just over a year ago, literally with just the clothes on their backs from Durango, Mexico. Pastor Francisco helped them with clothing shortly after their arrival in Juarez.  Sylvester's mother gave them a piece of land, so they could get ahead. They live in a very poor shack. They have some chickens next to the house, and Sylvester works in the concrete business when there is work. Sandra helps Sylvester's brother's family with their children during the day, but they don't have any money to pay her. They share a little food, and let their family come inside during the rainy days and nights. The children are always sick and have come to our clinic many times for medicine. The two older children are in school, but they could not afford even the inscription for little Kevin to get into kindergarten this year ($43 + supplies and uniforms). We helped Kevin with a scholarship and all three children with supplies. Sandra registered Kevin immediately and he is in kindergarten now. .
