Houses Dedicated
Victor and Elvira

Dear friends,

Victor and Elvira have been married six years. They came from Durango, Mexico. There are few jobs there and generally, Victor could only work one day per week. Around four years ago, Elvira's sister and mother-in-law moved to Juarez. Missions Ministries built them both homes in 2005. Victor and Elvira have been waiting and praying for a home their entire married lives. Victor has a steady job delivering furniture for a factory. Two of their four children have died. Jeffrey de Jesus was born a little premature just over a few weeks ago. Victor's job provides medical insurance; however, the cost of a respirator was not included for her delivery. Victor had to work and could not take time off. Elvira left the hospital the day of her c-section, taking a bus and walking to the Mission Center, praying and hoping we could help. We gave her some money for the respirator, pain medication and dressings for her incision. Jeff and Jenny also prayed for her and gave her a ride home. They quickly moved up on the waiting list for a home. Elvira returned last week to the Mission Center. The hospital let them use a respirator without charge for a few days, so she returned all the money we gave her. She is the first person living here to ever return money for anything! She also named their baby son after Jeff! Their little pallet room is constructed between her sisters and her mother-in-laws homes. It has one room measuring about 8 x 12, a dirt floor and two good walls. Their new home will help to insure the survival of their small, fragile children.

Blessings,

All of us at Missions Ministries
